The Old Notebook..

I found an old notebook, the one I bought in one of my travels, in order of keep record of phrases, prayers, poems etc. which captivated my attention, and I realize how important is to save  moments…

I’ve been keeping all kind of stuff on it... Some of them I don’t remember where I found or the   situation which inspires me to write it down on my loved notebook, but I do   envisage how much   I’ve learned about life…. Now I will share a few of them with you..

“Time is slow for those who wait, for those who are afraid, very long for those who grieve, too short for those who celebrate, but for those who love time is eternity” – Shakespeare.

“What some call impossible is just something you have never seen before.”-08/06/05

“Get up every day, breathe and thank  to God the good and bad things about that day , because in the end it's all good”

“God take me where men need your words, where they need my eager of life, where they are hopeless, where there is grief, simply because they don’t know about you - Prayer to Saint Francis of Assisi.

“I’m a human and I need to be loved just like everybody else does”

“No need to talk about love because love has its own voice and speaks for itself.”- Pablo Cohelo.

“Sometimes we can see but not touch, much less go beyond the skin or  face, and consequently do not know the heart of the person you  love the most”.

“Desire is not what you see, if you can imagine.”- Pablo Cohelo.

And the most important ……

Desiderata of hapiness by Max Ehrmann

In this time I would like to share something very mine and personal … mi favorite piece of poetry… I hope you could enjoy it as I do..

Go placidly amid the noise and haste,
and remember what peace there may be in silence.

As far as possible without surrender
be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly;
and listen to others,
even the dull and the ignorant;
they too have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons,
they are vexatious to the spirit.

If you compare yourself with others,
you may become vain or bitter;
for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.

Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.
Keep interested in your own career, however humble;
it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs;
for the world is full of trickery.

But let this not blind you to what virtue there is;
many persons strive for high ideals;
and everywhere life is full of heroism.

Be yourself.
Especially, do not feign affection.
Neither be cynical about love;
for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment
it is as perennial as the grass.

Take kindly the counsel of the years,
gracefully surrendering the things of youth.

Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.
But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.

Beyond a wholesome discipline,
be gentle with yourself.

You are a child of the universe,
no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.

And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore be at peace with God,
whatever you conceive Him to be,
and whatever your labors and aspirations,
in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul.

With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world.

Be cheerful.

Strive to be happy.
